Adding Digital Sign Content

Standard Sign Content

Set Team

  • Sign Into https://signs.smithengineering.queensu.ca/
  •  Select your Name in the top right corner
  • Navigate down to Team and select the digital sign you wish to make the change on

Add content

  • Select Files/Assets from the top ribbon
    •  
  • Select the Common Folder then Upload Files
    •  
  • You will be prompted with a screen showing who will have access to shared content. 
  • Select Create And Share
  • Select My Device and browse to the image you wish to upload to the Digital Signs

Set Expiry time

  • Select the Three Dots in the upper right-hand corner of the File you wish to set the expire on
  • Select Set Asset to Live / Expire
  •  Fill out the settings
    • Type:
      • One Time: Allows for one block of time assigned to this image
        •  Live Time: Allows for setting a specific time it goes live using “Live At” or making it live now using “Live Immediately” 
        • Expire Time: “Non Expiring” makes it permanent. Use “Expire At” to set the expire time
      • Schedule: This allows for multiple blocks of time, allowing for repetition. eg. every Monday at 9am – 12pm
    •  Delete Option: Check this as it will delete the image once it expires.

Assign content to Digital Signs

  • Navigate to your name at the top right and select the appropriate team’s signage you wish to add the content to 
  • Select Playlist and then the actual Playlist from the left hand side
    •  
  • On the righthand side navigate into the folder the image is in
  • Drag and drop the image in the spot you would like it to appear.
  •  
  • Wait a moment and you will see “Changes Saved”

Overrides

If you are unfamiliar how to add content in general. Follow steps 1-4 from the Standard Sign Content section

The Video Wall has a standard schedule but we will do “Overrides” regularly. Override is just a description of an interruption in the standard scheduled content by deleting and replacing the current schedule. 

Select the proper VW Override Playlist

Drag and drop file into the Override folder.

Between the hours 7am to 10pm the Video Wall will be active and have something scheduled.
